About NegAir

Our Founder

Alan Rozée, the founder of NegAir, began his journey in asbestos decontamination in 1969. For over 5 decades, he has perfected methods of working and developed the Astro, EcoAir and NegAir range of equipment for the asbestos removal industry.

Early Innovations

In the early 70s, Alan designed a method to safely remove asbestos at Euston Station, London. This method, which allowed railway staff to work below safely, introduced the concept of the air mover. Alan used large industrial dust extractors with high-efficiency filters to create negative pressure, ensuring any small leaks would pull air into the workspace, preventing the escape of harmful fibers.

Transition to Manufacturing

After many successful contracts, Alan shifted focus to developing and manufacturing equipment for asbestos decontamination. He introduced portable showering facilities and a reusable modular system for personal decontamination. In 1992, he launched the first single skin ABS modular system, a lightweight, compact solution that remains essential for personal decontamination.

Product Development

In 1993, the Astro 2000 air mover was launched, aiming to be lighter and more compact. This success led to the development of the Astro 2500, Astro 5000, the EcoAir range, and now the exciting NegAir range.

Our Commitment

NegAir remains dedicated to innovation and quality in the asbestos decontamination industry. Our products are designed to meet the highest standards, ensuring safety and reliability.
